Literacy and Language (Period 1, 3, & 5)

This course is designed for Long-Term English Language Learners at various levels of mastery in speaking, reading, writing, and listening the English language. Mastering the English language helps students navigate the world around them in order to engage in various settings in their community, including but not limited to  college, workplace, or family. Mastery of English is demonstrated by achieving reclassification, which requires students to 1) pass the ELPAC with an overall score of 4; 2) pass the Reading iReady test; and 3) receive a grade of C or better in English or ELD class.
